Drupal on a USB stick, handheld and mainframes of old

A while ago, I came across Morten Wulff's Drupal-on-a-stick page. A few days ago, Matt Cheney posted instructions for getting Drupal on a keychain using Ubuntu. Of course, these require a PC to run. Karoly is fantasizing about the Nokia N800 as the smallest machine with a screen that can run Drupal.

All this seems surreal when I remember that the first mainframe I used had only 1 MB of memory per CPU, and 6 washing machine sized fixed disks, each with a whopping 500MB!

And today, you can barely run Drupal with php.ini set to a memory size of 8MB!

Oh, kids these days, they have no idea ...
