NowPublic raises $10.6 million in venture capital

NowPublic, a citizen journalism web site, raised US $10.6 million in venture capital financing. NowPublic is also expanding its partneship with Associated Press.

Time magazine has put NowPublic on the top 50 websites for 2007.

NowPublic is based in Vancouver, B.C., and runs on Drupal. Several well known developers work for it, including Karoly Negyesi (chx), Darrel O'Pry (dopry), Morbus Iff and Rok Zlender. Dries is an advisor for the site as well.
