The current US Administration has made it known to the rest of the world that its military adventures abroad are motivated by values such as "freedom" and "democracy".

The irony is that only one in four of Americans can identify more than one of the five freedoms guaranteed by the First Amendment of the US Constitution (Freedom of speech, religion, press, assembly and petitioning the government).

This is about the same as those who can name all the five members of the Simpsons family ... 

Only one in 1,000 Americans can identify all the freedoms of the First Amendment. Moreover, more  Americans could identify the three American Idol judges than those who can name three freedoms.

The Founding Fathers must be turning in their graves ...
