Bell Canada and Rogers laptop connection cards provide internet access anywhere (Linux?)

Two wireless providers in Canada started offering laptop access via PC cards.
Bell Canada has introduced laptop cards that provide internet connectivity anywhere in coverage areas. The ads tout the fact that they can be used in a cab or on a train.
These cards use the mobile phone frequencies and data infrastructure (EVDO).
The monthly unlimited plan is $75 which is reasonable.
Rogers have similar cards that use GSM frequencies and EDGE/GPRS, but no unlimited data plan. 500MB per month cost $80,
Anyone knows if any of these cards would work under Linux?

Rogers needs to wake up
Boycott Rogers and go Bell until Rogers decides to go unlimited for a reasonable fee. Or petition the Canadian govt to allow more competition. Unlimited in the USA is $40.
Good point, but ...
Good point, except for the fact that Bell Canada's network is CDMA, not GSM. This means you cannot send or receive SMS (short message services) from other people on other networks (Rogers, Fido) or in other countries. It also makes your handset unusable if you travel (except for one or two models with both CDMA and GSM in them).
