Inaugural meeting of the Waterloo Region Drupal Users Group happened

As planned, the meeting happened!

A total of 7 people showed up, some from out of town, and we had a very fruitful discussion.

We started by introducing every one, and then I gave a brief intro to break the ice and get the discussion going. A copy of the presentation is attached below in Open Office and PDF formats.

After that, we went around the table and everyone showcased one of their sites.

Here is a photo of the attendees:

Left to right: Richard Weait, Nolan Andres, Martin Anderson-Clutz (London, ON), Glenn Cooke (New Hamburg, ON), Charles MacColm, Khalid Baheyeldin, Wafaa Bass.

One person (Mark D) missed the meeting venue because there are two places across the street from each other on Queen St with "The Working Centre" as the title.

In order to avoid this in the future, a map of where the place is is here.

See you first Friday of every month!

Maybe next time

Looks like a good start. I would have liked to attend but had a conflict of interest (my daughters birthday party). Hopefully I can make it next time.

Tim

Congratulations on your first meet-up

Congratulations on your first meeting. Hopefully, you'll have a meeting at the University of Waterloo and recruit some of the Math and Engineering students to get active with Drupal.

Cheers,
Kieran
