Ubuntu.com switches to Drupal

ubuntu.com has switched to Drupal.

Very nice and visually appealing design.

This is also on digg, although Drupal is not mentioned, and I posted it on Drupal.org's forum.

My favorite Linux distro is using my favorite CMS.

Thanks

Thanks for point this out. I had seen Ubuntu.com had changed their look, but wasn't sure at first glance whether it was Drupal or not. I had suspected, but didn't have time to confirm.

Wow, that's awesome.

That's big-time cred for Drupal in the open source community, considering how popular Ubuntu is getting these days. Ubuntu reminds me a bit of Drupal's parallel cousin in many ways, so it seems somewhat fitting that they would cross paths like this. Very neat.

Now if I could just talk myself into leaving OS X for Ubuntu, like I've unsuccessfully been trying to do for a bit now. (operating system interest/envy)

Dries and Matt Nuzum

Dries blogged about this a few hours ago.

Also Matt Nuzum, web master of ubuntu.com, has a writeup on his blog.

Cool

That's a great design by Ubuntu. It's clean, easy to navigate and looks simple.

Will try Ubuntu next time when I upgrade my pc for a bigger hard drive

Now announced in the Ubuntu Weekly Newsletter

It's great to see

It's great to see Ubuntu using Drupal. It's a perfect match, I think.

It seems like almost every day some big site makes the switch. Any bets on who will be next? Linux.com maybe?

Nice

It's a great news! Ubuntu is my favourite Linux distribution and I think switching to Drupal make it the best solution for everyone.

Very Nice Design

It is very nice to see one of the most popular Linux distributions site is running on Drupal. They did a very nice job on the theme customization.
