Since 2006, the Drupal community in Toronto has been holding annual DrupalCamps. Although it says "Toronto", we have seen people from as far away as New York, Winnipeg, and Vancouver come to attend the event.
This year, we are holding the 3rd annual DrupalCamp Toronto event.
The event will be held at the Bissell Building on the campus of the University of Toronto on May 23rd and May 24th 2008.
Attendance is free, but donations are welcome.
John Resig, author of the javascript library jQuery will be present and will talk about this slick AJAX tool. Drupal Camp is being held just after the Mesh Conference being held in Toronto. John has been kind enough to stick around after the Mesh event (where he will also be speaking) to support the local Drupal community.
There will also be prizes by various sponsors, including the Komodo IDE for PHP/Ruby/Python/Perl by ActiveState.
Space is limited to 150 attendees for the event, with people coming from across Canada and near-by US states. The event always fills up so register soon to secure your place. The event is always looking for sponsors and presenters, so if you want to do more than just show up there are plenty of ways to get involved.
This event is entirely organized by volunteers and Drupal enthusiasts from around the Greater Toronto Area, with support from many sponsors, including 2bits.com, Inc, again for the 3rd year in a row. If you are interested in sponsorship, please contact the organizers.
