Volcanic Ash over Newfoundland: East Coast travellers take note

Eastern Canada and United States Drupalers attending DrupalCon San Francisco take note.

Volcanic ash from Iceland has reached St. John's Newfoundland. Some flights have been canceled, as per the CBC, the Globe and Mail, CBS and Slashdot.

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that it is "low risk", and that there are no airspace closures.

There is also speculation about Katla, another volcano on Iceland that has historically erupted after Eyjafjallajokull.

I wonder how many empty seats Andre has in his DrupalMobile ...

Check with the airline

Check with the airline one day before the flight, and then the same day as the flight. See what the conditions are then.
