Two recent reviews of the XO One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) are very interesting. The first is by a 12 year old, and the other is by a 9 year old.
The latter is the son of a BBC technology reporter, and was handed the computer and the wireless access code for the home network and left on his own. Soon, he discovered games, animation, and much more. What is striking is that he was chatting with other kids around the world who knew little English. This is an amazing enabling technology, targeted for school kids.
