Thanks to Corrin of Rain City Studios, I came to know of the Courtyard Boston South. The folk from Rain City Studios (including Bryght), along with Now Public, will be staying at that venue.
Moreover, Corrin arranged for a block of rooms at the special rate of $129 a night, and a shuttle service to the conference will be arranged too. This is really convenient so as to avoid learning about bus stops and other aspects of mega city public transportation.
Checking the fares, I noticed that they offer a special rate for AAA/CAA, which is only $99 per night, and comes to $109 after taxes, making it a really good deal.
So, if you are an AAA/CAA member, or just want to bunk with other Canadians, then go ahead and book yourself at the Courtyard Boston South.
(P.S. I love chowder, but the standard recipe calls for ham. So hope to find somewhere where it does not have that).

See you there
Thu, 2008/02/07 - 01:35Never met you guys, but it will be nice to meet more drupalers. I'll be staying at the same hotel so hopefully I'll be able to take advantage of your shuttle. Got the AAA discount and hopefully it'll be the best deal in town.

If you can afford it, please choose the "official" hotels
Thu, 2008/02/07 - 10:08All--
We (the Drupalcon planning committee, and "we" Acquia) have made a variety of assurances to the hotels with whom we have arranged blocks of rooms. These assurances are also indirectly made to the third-party hotel room management agency that is handling our interactions with the hotels.
We kind of need to sell out these blocks. Our assurances aren't financial, so the risk isn't massive. But if Drupalcon comes to Boston again, we'll need to use the third-party hotel management agency. (They're the "One to use" if you want to do this.) And if we don't sell out all our rooms, we may not have an effective alternative next time.
I would respectfully request that you first consider making an effort to book your room through the Drupalcon website before going around it and booking where indicated in this posting. http://boston2008.drupalcon.org/logistics-and-accommodations
