Scam

Tue, 2010/01/19 - 08:17

Hi,

I have received correspondence in the post (not email) from Euro Mail. It has all the right things on there - company numbers etc., but now I am nervous. I was going to pay $25AUD for 5 draws and it says that is all you have to pay, but on the back it says The amount charged by ELF which is not directly attributable to the purchase price shown on the face of the ticket represents a service charge. This service charge is to cover all the costs of administering your order, including purchasing your tickets, holding those tickets in safekeeping, keeing computer records of your numbers, notifying you of your prizes and (in the case of smaller amounts) collecting those prizes on your behalf.

Is this a scam? They don't say on the correspondence what the service charge is.

Total pool Euro 183.5 million (AUD $329.5 million). It says they draw every Friday for 4 consecutive weeks (15 shares of which one is allocated to me for the AUD$25.

Your advice would be appreciated.

Thank you

Scam

Tue, 2010/01/19 - 09:59

I received an e-mail from GLOBAL EURO MILLIONS PROMOTION [proaward10@att.net]congratulating me with my winning.
They referred me to the Contact Fiduciary agent Name: Mr. Mark Van and Associates
Address: 88 Building Monty dinevanune halls,
London, Y6DRE87 London, England
E-Mail: vmarkagnt1@live.co.uk
E-Mail: vmarkagnt2@live.co.uk
Tel:+447031906765
Fax:+44 870 495 2758

He referred me to the banking agent Mr. Arter Adams
Manager-E Banking Department
GIAB BANK PLC INTERNATIONAL UNITED KINGDOM
Mayfair House
15-18 Heddon Street
Mayfair London, W1B 4DA, United Kingdom
Email: cnstdpt@giab-plc.com
Tel: +447924064215
Fax: +448704954755

Mr. Arter Adams asked me for a winning certificate, which Mr. Mark Van and Associates provided with a GLOBAL EURO MILLION CERTIFICATE signed by Mrs. Rosalina Brown

I thought it was a scam from the beginning. I played along until they wanted me to complete a document with personal detail. The quality of their documents are bad. How can a company just pay me 692 000 pounds in winning and use such bad quality of documents?

Be careful of the above mentioned people and their way of communication.
