Email scam: professional personal assistant for an electronics company

Thanks for your reply, I got your email through the Chamber of
Commerce directory. I am looking for someone who can handle my
business errands during his or her spare time. I need your service
because I am constantly traveling abroad on a missionary trip to build
homes for orphaned children.

Responsibilities:
1. Receive my mail and drop them off.
{Your Location doesn't matter as long as you
have a post office nearby}
2. Pay my bills.
3. Pick up my items at nearby post office.
4. When you get my mail or package, you would
mail all items to where I want them shipped. All
expenses and shipping charges will be covered
by me.

The contents of the packages are mostly Games, Laptops, Toys,household
items, Electronics and clothing for needy little children. Also, there
will be clothes I need for business and personal letters. No heavy
packages.

I would have love to meet with you to discuss this job in more detail,
but I am currently away on a missionary trip. If you decide to accept
the position, please read the employment requirements listed below.

REQUIREMENTS:
A. You are an honest and trustworthy citizen.
B. You will be required to work between 15 and
20hrs a month.
C. You need to be able to check your email
regularly and answer calls.

The pay is $500 weekly and you are entitled to other additional
incentives after 1 month if you are hardworking. First, If I were to
mail you a payment to do my shopping plus payment for your service,
where would you want it mailed to?

I responded on one of the job posting on kijiji,the replied asking me for the same information..like full name,address and the postal code.I sent those informations,with a question or...more of a proof or atleast one reason to believe that,this is a legit job.But in response,he definitely emailed me back congratulating and telling me to cash out $4800 from western union but not a a single thing about the quetsion that i asked!!!Freaking Mr.Gandell.....Anyways..thanks guys....this site was really helpfun.

I just recently got this email and knew it was a scam because I got scammed with a baby sitting position almost like this. Here is what it says

I came across your email on Craigslist as regards Pet and will like to believe you must have an experience of pet sitting, I will be relocating to your area base on my research with the EPA and i will need you to pet sit my Dog ( Rhoda ) while I'm out for work, service can be done in my home or yours...I will offer you a sum of $20 per hour, 3 hrs in a day, and i will be needing your service 3 times a week to watch over smileys for me which will be $180 per week plus additional $20 for gas totaling $200 per week. I will be paying you in advance via check.

Additional information: Rhoda is a German Shepherd, also very pleasant and she is already potty trained buy using doggie door she will quickly learn anything you teach her. She possess intelligent attitude. And her vaccinations are up to date... you will like it. I like to add that she is friendly with other dogs and with children so there should be no cause for alarm...

I received an offer for a "personal assistant" position from a "James Hernandez". I thought it was very strange, especially since I never applied for a personal assistant job. But yet I got an e-mail offering me a full to part time position from someone I don't even know. The e-mail was almost IDENTICAL to the one above from "Adam Hernandez" only I was offered 1350$ a week! That's good money! Too bad its a scam =) I hope there is a way to catch this creep before too many people fall for this scam. ~ Angela
