Forged cashier cheque scam email from Uganda

dear all, another example in support of the thread started on this website about the scammers from Uganda. Please be aware as such companies advertise themselves on all possible trading websites.

we are still interested and looking for realible suppliers who can meet our requirement of 75 watts solar panels that we are to insta;ll in the project that we are running , we won the tender with our government district tender board of supplying them and installing 1000pcs all together, this supply is running for 10 month from 10th of novermber2010 to 10th of sept 2011 and by this time the projects must be ready here is the model of SOLAR PANELS needed 75w/12v mono 500pcs , so we agreed as per the below terms.

DELIVERY SCHEDULE
1. First Delivery of 100pcs by 27th november 2010 for testing and approval before they endorse the second payment.
2. second delivery of 300 pcs by 30th of jan2011
3 Third Delivery of 300 pcs by 15th of march 2011
4 Fourth delivery of 300pcs by 5th of july 2011

PAYMENT SCHEDULE

1. Half of the payment of all order or first order payment of 100 pcs will be made immediately by certified internatioanl cheque or Bank draft.
2. Second payment by 5th of decemeber.2010
3. Third payment by 15th of feb 2010.
4.Fourth final payment by third week of march

Please Sir should we continue and forward you this business? ,all payment will be paid to you on behalf of our company (BEST ELECTRONIC SALES) as beneficiary and as our supplier oversea and you need as well confirm to us that our commission will be paid back to us immediately, because we will quoted to the Government District Tender Board each pc at the cif price nairobi air port that you would have provided us , So you need to advise as how much will it be per each Unit including shipping by Air to nairobi air port , then after tell as how much commission will remain at our side. the first 100pcs are needed for distrubution and installation in the internally displaced peoples camps in nothern war areas, so can you fullfill this tender terms?

We have also received 2 such bogus cheques for printer cartridges. First bounced! second was different from the first but both cheque were for random amounts and they appeared to be UK bank checks? Not sure if the victims have any knowledge of these cheques been used by them. Thank God we have not dispatched anything to them; details of the suspect below:-

I think this is the same thing happening to me with a Laptop order.. that I will not fill unless I have cash in hand, not a check.
Why would a client not se Dell to buy Direct??

we received an inquiry from a trading company from Intrimate Brokers Cotonov,Benin Republic to ship Airconditioners & Ipads to Africa & gave us an address to ship Iwoye Trading Company 10 AgoLowye Strret,Agric,Lkorodu,Lagos Nigeria,after exchanges of few emails we sent the invoice & after 2 weeks of gap & no contact we got a call in the office regarding the shipment to be sent,but as i had insisted no shipment without the full payment in advance,so they finally sent me a cashiers cheque,but after depositing the cheque the bank called & informed us that it was a fake.There was another one came after saying was a Trading company from UK.K Mart Management UK Ltd,Mark Harrison he called himself,I am sure is a fake name,The address given was 317 Broxburn drive,Essex RM 15 5 PH,UK.Tel+447903915255,also send us a cashiers cheque from Standard Chartered Bank also was confirmed fake after 3 weeks sent for collection,We had to pay for the collection charges to bank even it failed to clear,Another scam happened was another one turned up in b2b site of ours saying he would pay with credit card of his clients,but after I was very specific on the payment,I wanted the copy of the card,copy of the passport,he disappeared,the company was called Kroma Trading LLC,Ground Office,10 Armust Road,London E8 2BT,UK.Tel+447924570746,Fax+442030041554.Collins Butman he called himself.I will now say to everyone in our kind of export business not to beleive all these inquiries from Africa & do not accept any cashier cheques,do not deposit them in your accounts as you will have to pay charges & will loose the name of your company for accepting fake cheques,I was always positive for doing business online but since all these bad experiences,I have to say no to African inquiries they are black as their skin & will never be true.

I've received a US Cheque from Uganda too, deposited over a month ago, but the bank didn't call me saying it was a fraudulent cheque, the cheque now cleared in the bank, the amount is available, but in the bank they told me this cheque is unsecure because the issuer can re-claim the money within a year os something like that, is this true? I think i'm also being a victim of fraud, am i right? I'm afraid to send the laptops and then the issuer re-claim the money back from the bank, and then i'll be left empty handed.

well when i read this it looks everyone from kampala uganda is fake scammer

im factory owner located in europe that produces solar panels

one day i receive email from PETER KATAMBA

he wants to buy 150 solar panels off 100Watt (Wtf? why so much)

he sends me a check received today with 50.000usd (order is rounded 30.000 for example)

name on check is not from them but from hotel in america

when i call to the bank what printed on the money check all looks fine (account number is correct and name on check)

but i think.. it will be ducted afther wile becouse its counterfeit or sometihng

I have received an email from Uganda - from a man named Belali Bognar who claims to be from a store name Standard Safety shoes Ltd. He is asking us for a quotation for shoes ... i suspect strongly it is a scam and from the posts I see on this page I have realised that any cheque received from him would most likely be bogus. What I am asking is by our depositing their cheque... does this in anyway make us vulnerable to them - ie: do they get our banking details, etc which they can then use to commit some sort of fraud?
