REQUESTING ASSISTANCE FOR WAR-CONFLICT AFFECTED PEPOLES
Assalamu Alaikum Warahmathullahi Wabarakathuhu!
Dear His Excellancy,
We are very happy to contact you from our organization and like to keep up the relationship with you.
We are being working for social development since 1990s and presently working in island wide, especially in Trincomalee district as war and conflict affected areas. We have been working to develop these poor affected people’s basic needs and live condition. We perform these activities by our member’s net work and community participation.

There is vast need to continue above project in past war-conflict, and poorest affected areas. Because there is lack of basic needs like house, proper drinking water, sanitation, employments, education and health facilities within these variables affect occurred areas. There are problems regarding political issues and human rights to solve. There for youth live with panic and stressed. Therefore please support us to help these innocent people any way.
And we expect your great facilitate to help the rural people in Sri Lanka, who suffered in the same way. And the aidless people who are living in poorest rural villages, urban, rural forest borders and sea coastal areas. They are suffering for a long time by the conflict, war and poorness of and searching a place to live.
Our objective is to guide to obtain an income to educate this homeless and income less populations children. These people are living together at one hut from 5-12 members within a small coconut hut, mud hut, or waste materials, which are not suitable to bear the rain, win, or sun hot. And they are living without the income to manage day today activities, facing thief, libertine, poisoned frost snakes, and jungle animals.

Their income earning way is collect wood from forest and selling, daily labor work and engaging agricultural work in the rain season. These plants are getting dried in the summer session. To do the agricultural activities successfully needs water. There is the need of guidance about reconstructing the old ponds, agro wells and water pumps. Trainings about self employment for youth, and create self employment opportunity to them. Educational level of parents is very low. As well as their children’s education is not in a good condition, due to the war and displacement. There are school drop outs, not going school continuously as a result of poverty.

We are sending a proposal here. Our proposals accepting to improve the facilities for resettlements, income generating, agriculture facilities, fishing etc, in Sri Lankas selected poorest areas. We are in possible to submit you any other documents needed details and ready to sign a MOU agreement with you. We are requesting your kind consideration and support to this project for these affected victims. Thank you very much!

There is a description below on about a village, which affected by passed ethnic conflicts and war. Many villages affect as this and as you can see in photo graphs damaged Mosques, homes and distorted traditional occupations. Large amount of people are living under poverty. And there for we are asking assistances from you to develop at least a few peoples life. In this we are asking to aid this innocent helpless community in holy Ramadan. Please help as your limit at least. We will give information about the service what you donate.

"They feed with food--despite their own desire for it-- the indigent, and the orphan and the captive (saying): ‘We feed you purely for the sake of God. We desire no reward from you, or thankfulness.’" Al-Quran. Surah al-Insan 8-9

Project Background Area:
IN SRI LANKA, Tricomalee district under kinniya divisional sectariat the village Uppar and the small villages under it Solavettuvan, Mayilappanchenai, Karavettuvan and Kandal kadu are trapped by terrorists in 1990. The people who settle down here in 1940’s had land registers by hereditary and land permits distributed by government later on. But in 1990’s people completely chased out from the area and all the Schools, Mosques and houses were destroyed. The place which has filled with more than 360 families flat-out without a single home, and even cut off big strength providing trees as well. Can see some symbols of the general building’s foundations in all directions still.
After the recapture of government people who lived as refugee, helpless and depended, in various places for the last 30 years, back to their native area, clear and arranged to live putting with small huts on mud, leaves and with waste materials. After wards some are able to got temporary huts. But this people who didn’t resettled down properly are suffering without drinking water, no facilities to start cultivation and no any opportunity continue their traditional cottage industries. And there are no proper road facilities to these small villages. The Villages got effort to rehabilitate roads on their best, but the roads passing through jungles as well. And in rainy days they are dipping on water. People suffering without proper roads to buy essentials or to go for do regular needs and duties on Hospitals, Mosques, Schools……
In this situation we are on attempt to put suitable road facility to these people and also to make ordinary facilities up to some extent. Therefore we are kindly requesting your assistants to accomplish below tasks. Graven stone Roads for about 4km with viabilities, culverts, and causeway-cum bridges on essential setting in it.
•Drinking Wells
•Agro wells
•Mosque –Madrasa Building and (Repair Needed)
•Roads
With these basic facilities to rise people’s livelihood
•Goat Farm * Poultry Farm * Producing * Providing fishery equipment

The resettled up chaste out people here will getting the opportunity to continue their traditional careers by this. There for kindly asking again to assist for this attendance

Please help to provide food items for these poor people in Ramzan fasting season and to provide dress for people who are lack of dress needs. We have attached photographs on these peoples life background.
