In Jeddah, you can live in apartments, or you can live in residential compounds(also called complexes, or sometimes: "camps"). Compounds offer a better life style, since there are often recreational facilities (swimming pool, tennis court, playground, shopping bus, school bus, ...etc.)Here is a list of some compounds in Jeddah, some are upmarket executivestyle, and some geared to professionals.

I REALLY DO NEED HELP
Thu, 2009/08/20 - 13:44I read your post and hope that you could help me. My husband is being offered a position to do some consulting work. One of the things hes asking is that they pay for a fully furnished 2 bedroom flat/house in a nice compound were there are a lot of activities for women and babies. I've been reading and doing research and Sierra compound is a good option. I have tried to contact them and get a quote but so far been totally unsuccesfull (probably it's all full) Do you know how much are the rents for something like this, are there brookers or people that help you find a place??
Any advice would be greatly appreciated,
camila

Cheaper Compounds / villas in Jeddah
Sat, 2009/10/24 - 14:49I've been in Jeddah for the past year & a half & have been desperately seeking any chance to move into a compound... They all seem way too pricy for us! We're looking for a two bedroom villa, or 3 bedroom flat in a compound
or a private villa ( a small one)
Our budget can stretch to maximum 45000 SR per year!
The cheapest I've came across are:
Al Nada, (al Rabwa district)
Gardens (Al Naeem district, al amal street near Jeddah prep school)
Tiara (behind Uno Chicago grill, prince Sultan street)
The 3 of them range from 40 to 46
yet they never have vacancies :(
Do you know of any old cheap compounds around the Naeem, Nahda, Prince Sultan areas?
Many Thanks!

Compounds or Appartments in Jeddah.
Fri, 2010/08/20 - 15:55Greetings.
I've seen your post and though it's the first time i write in this page, I'd be pleased to receive some orientation about searching a place to live.
i've just one week here in Jeddah and I've been sending emails to many componds and as you say they're expensive for my yearly budget (35000)
i'd to find something in nort-west jeddah as i'll be working in this area and traveling frequently...
Do you know where's the right place to start the searching?
Regards,
Rafael
