You should take the checks to the authorities ASAP along with any correspondence you've had with the criminal via e-mail. Also, you may want to look into how your local post office can help you ward off the checks being mailed.

Scams galore

Here are two more very similar scams... it sucks especially when you really want a REAL job. They both requested little "online application" things and then suddenly out of the blue decided I am perfect for the job despite my inexperience (haha) and then want to me to go around cashing checks of unspecified amounts, without any real meeting, conversation, or contract.

Fredo Jamie Personal Assistant Scam

I received the same kind of email but the mans name was FREDO JAMIE. I googled before I sent him my information and came across this. THANK THE LORD. I will now block his domain from my computer.

I received the exact same e-mail but with the name Chelsea Meyer. I have had ongoing correspondence with the "doctor" as well. Besides that one, I have received two or three other e-mails. He is supposed to be sending me a check and I will take a look at it but according the information I've found here, it does appear like a scam. Thank God I was advised to research this further.

Scam

Here is what happens, they will send you a check in the mail, and let me tell u this check will look real, they ask you to go to a western union and make payments for them, the check will be for like $1200, they want u to send $900 to a payment, which is really them waiting on money, after u cash the check, it will bounce a few days later, and come back and bite u or the bank teller in the ass, alot of banks are aware of this scam. They are also running this same scam as a secret shopper, wanting u to evaluate western union. So be aware!
