I got the same email from a job offer on Craigslist:

I'm Engr Adam Hernandez 42yrs of age,I'm a structural engineer by profession, I have been pretty successful in a handful of ventures I get involved in; i presently work with United Nations on rehabilitation and other private organizations, also various welfare and community service programs.

As my data and record assistant, your activities will be.

*Running personal errands, supervisions and monitoring.
*Scheduling programs, flights and keeping me up to date with them.
*Making regular contacts and drop-offs on my behalf.
*Handling and monitoring some of my financial activities
*Process payables and purchase orders for submission
*Interface with vendors and subcontractors relating to payment / billing problems as needed.

Basic wage is $500.20 per assignment

I really need to find the perfect person for this job, I'm confident you can take up the challenges and on the long run we should have a relatively sound working relationship between us.

This is only an introductory e-mail, as time goes on we should be able to arrange a proper meeting to get things started officially when i get back from my trip, I'm currently in Belgium meeting up with a corporate company, so i will be here for couples of weeks, so till i get back this position will be a part-time and home-based job because my new office in your local area will not be set up till i get back to the state.

I'm online most of the time as I am hard of hearing so I prefer we contact each other through E-mails but if there is need for me to call, I will be glad to do that. I am glad you are willing to work with me and i promise to be a good boss. I am also glad on the commitment in working. I have been checking my files and what i would want you to do for me is to run some errands out to some of the orphanage home which I do every month. The funds will be in form of certified Cashier check/Money orders, it will be sent over to you from one of my clients and i have some list to email you once you received the funds. You will make some arrangements by buying some stuff for the kids in the nearest store around you so you can mail them out. I will get you more information on that.

I looked him up and found this site. I have since reported him to the Internet Crime Complaint Center (http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx). Maybe you can too, to avoid the scam from reaching more people?

I just got the same email with the name Jones Mclandborough, I actually ended up giving him my information, how stupid, after finding this all over the internet I countinued to let him know i knew it was a scam and to stop contacting me.. havent heard from him since. BEWARE!

I was in the middle of filling out my info and i typed the guys name in to see ok hes a geologist theres gotta be something on him. My name is Jones Mclandborough ,I am a geologist.....My main function as a geologist is to assess the natural disasters and its effects on environment, to find out the areas rich in under-water resources, oil, natural gas and minerals. I also assess the suitable areas for construction of bridges, roads, buildings and laying railway lines, My job is to also explore the natural resources deep in the sea, determine the quality of soil by conducting geo-chemical and geo-physical tests. My function varies so that is why i travel a lot for contracts.

I have been pretty successful in handling of various projects in United States & Mexico. I'm most very often get my hands occupied, so it is imperative for me to have a worthy personal assistant but you don't need to have any knowledge about my work because your duties working for me is simple/ flexible and most of it will be done online and a brief training will be conducted for you online.
