Here is a classic scam from Craigslist.They offer to buy your item you advertised via classified for more money than you ask for ($375 in my case, he offered $500).They even give you a bleeding heart story about wife dying in accident.

Kindly get back to me immediately you receive my e-mail and i will like you to take it off craigslist for auction cos am serious in buying it.So let me have your full infomation ofr pyment to be made.... Mon, 2010/11/01 - 19:10I just got scammed by the same person, but now we're going by Nicol Smith. I received a check in the mail for more than the item ($700 more to be exact). The check from Nicol Smith came from Heritage Cadillac in Morrow, GA. I deposited the check and assumed all was fine. Little did I know that this person has been scamming LOTS of people this past week with checks from Heritage. I spoke with them today & they have been receiving calls from all over the country. Anyway, I didn't realize it was a scam until it was too late. After I deposited the check into my account, I wired the remaining balance via Western Union to a Patrick Daniels. The money was picked up at a Western Union in Lilburn, GA.
Please be careful! I'm sure they read these feeds and know when they've been discovered. I was able to trace my scammer to the following email addresses:

Thu, 2010/11/04 - 04:11I was selling alot of different items on craigslist. I kept getting an email from a "AMY SANDERS" each time she would repeat the price you put with a ? LIKE IF IT WAS $40, SHE WOULD EMAIL YOU WITH A 40? Must be some purpose to gt you to email back...and she always used different email addresses but the name 'AMY SANDERS' was always on it.

Wow good thing i caught this before it got to late i got my money orders there were three my item i was selling was 65$ and he sent me almost 3,000$ that was too fishy he told me he sent the wrong one so i got my money orders checked out my bank said they were no good this guy or who ever it is needs to be caught.
