to tell the difference between real and frauld lottery's

Mon, 2008/01/28 - 12:22

real lottery's when you get them in e-mail will come as
-from: bmwgroup.com or name@bmwgroup.com
fake lottery's always come as bmwgroup@live.com or from @excite.com even from yahoo or gmail and many other sites where you can create a personal e-mail adress, real lottery's have their own sites to send to winners e-mails and is more secure, I had fallen for one of these scams before and I know how to pick up on their mistakes, send this knowledge to all your friends so they don't make the mistake of giving these hackers any money and losing out in the long run.

Just had a similar email sent to me and to contact this Mr Jeferson (with one "f"). I know better than to trust those crooks. Why would a reputable, international lottery company ask us to contact someone with a hotmail account. That's just plain stupid!

email scam

Thu, 2008/01/31 - 12:36

I received that email too. it made me excited, i even called the guy in UK (he claims he is in UK and i felt stupid for calling him and even believing that its true) and he wanted my bank information and ID. When i asked for the website he only said that he is a "man of his words" "that he is a very busy man" "to trust him". Now, how can a lottery office who gives out 1 million doesnt have a website.

That is definitely a scam! And guys we have the same referrence number-- that IDIOT! He'll get handcuffed in no time. I will try report this to the police so if you can too please REPORT him that guy is a THIEF!
