Goddamn Scam!
Sun, 2009/10/18 - 10:08Also, add the following e-mail address to the known scammers: Katherinelob@yahoo.com
She uses the name "Katherine Brook" and her supposed agents name is "Donald Gray". She even tried to entice me by telling me that when she was in town sometime- she'd give me sexual activity. Look at the following, copy and pasted word for word.
When I'm in town sometime I WILL have to GIVE-YOU A great big hug that will BLOW your mind for doing such a great JOB. OR excuse me if you find that to SEXual IF YOU did- I didn't WANT to offend you but INSTEAD show you my appreciation. I CAN be that way thought- don't TAKE IT the wrong way- I'm UP in my own world- some people think I'm being THE bitchiest or an ASS sometime. I don't know why- I'm really a good person, haha. Thanks honey! :) I'll be around town in 2 weeks.
Thanks,
Katherine.
At first I thought she was just using all caps to be annoying- but read all the cap words together- it makes a sentence.

Almost scammed as well
Sun, 2009/10/18 - 13:17Hi,
I received an email similar to the one that Berry Williams received. I was selling a chair for $200..buyer from another state, offered to pay $200 + $100 for me to hold the chair and wanted me to take my listing off of craigslist! He then emailed saying he was sending a check for the chair plus shipping costs and once I received the check, I was to take it to my bank, cash it, take out the money for the chair and send the rest via Western Union to someone in CA to arrange for shipment. The check came in the amount of $2,800! My gut instinct told me that something was wrong, but I took the check to my bank and they cashed it! I then went to Western Union and wired the money next day (best decision I ever made!). Western Union had the person that would've received the money on a security list because he probably used several different addresses to receive the money! Once I got home, something just wasn't right so I called Western Union and they told me that it was a fraudalent transaction and they sent my money back to me! I am so grateful to Western Union for warning me....I am not a dumb person, but boy did I feel like a fool! Now I'll contact my bank to have them confirm what my gut tells me....the check, although appearing as a cashier's check, is actually fake!
Be on the lookout for anyone using jdalton61@gmail.com or any buyer identifying himself with Ceylon Tobacco Company....The best thing about it is he said he was in NC, the check was drawn on a bank in TX, the person that sent the check was in IL (from a company that doesn't exist) and I was to Western Union the money to someone in CA! Sounds like a scam ring if ever there was one!
