Another scam via Craigslist: offering more than asking price

He offers to buy your item and pay via PayPal. He's full of S#!T.

the transfer to my pick up agent, so i wanted to ask if it was okay for me to include my pick up agent's fees in the payments I am about to send through paypal, my pick up agent charged $650 plus insurance and all of that, please can i include their money in the payments I want to send then after i have made the payments you will help me forward the $650 to my pick up agent through western union money transfer, this I would have done myself and not bother you but the for the fact that I am currently on sea, so after I have made the payments you will help me send $650 to my pick up agent through western union money transfer, I just wanted to seek your consent before going ahead with

PS:the shipping company's Head quarters is in England and any pick up
fees to be paid is sent to their head quarters by the payee, so the
money for pick up will be sent to their head quarters in England
through western union money transfer(this can be done from any post
office) or you can do it online at www.westernunion.com

So, I started thinking, If this person got scammed, why in the world would they set up another deal using a check?
I wrote back and told them cash only.
What a waste of time.

I listed a guitar amplifier, the respondent goes by "David Patrick" or "Patrick David", offered extra money for me to "hold it" & said his assistant would contact me because he was traveling around the country,,,,blah, blah, woof, woof..... such a waste of my time just opening the emails.

I have 2 checks that this guy has sent me. I have not or will not try to cash them. But he does have my name and address. what should I do???????

This scam sucks, but how does this scam work? Obviously if the check bounces I am not letting anyone pick up squat. I will only wait till it clears. So what's the catch?

I have already gone through the details and i am interested in purchasing. I will be paying by Money Order and you should receive the payment within the coming week as per pick-up, I will make arrangement with the moving company to come for pick-up after payment has been received by you. l would appreciate if you take the posting off craigslist today and consider it sold to me. I don't mind adding Extra $40 so you can keep it in my favor. Please provide your Name and address for payment along with your home phone number band cell phone number .My assistant will mail out the payment to your address Once payment is received we can proceed with the pickup. Thanks for your understanding and patience.Do have a nice time...waiting to read from you ASAP.

Here's a reply to an add I have received from an oceanographer named steven johnson ( and ) wanting to buy a piece of furniture he never saw for 1000$. I like the way he said I accepted his offer while I only said we already have an interested buyer for less but would consider him if he pay cash and come before the other potential buyer. I assume in 10 or 20 years from now, we will get email like that directly from the Space Station... lol
