Here is a classic scam from Craigslist.They offer to buy your item you advertised via classified for more money than you ask for ($375 in my case, he offered $500).They even give you a bleeding heart story about wife dying in accident.

this time he replied via a different email= Micheal Dover. The first time he replied from Humberto Clarke. I am a fraud investigator, and the easiest way you can sopt a fraudster is by backchecking freemail accounts. Each one was sent up the same way, with the same spelling and number suffix. I would rather trust someone who emailed me from a company email that i could privately verify. Thanks for all your feedback- it made blowing them off that much more fun!

Mon, 2009/04/13 - 17:02Recently posted a bed and car to craigslist. Got almost two identical emails from people interested and offering to pay more than asking with a money order. Got suspicious, found this site. Emailed them and told them both sounded awful like a scam but would be interested if they didn't mind me waiting a few weeks to give over items. Also asked (since they were both using shipping companies) where they lived since I could probably get it delivered cheaper. Needless to say, haven't heard back from either. So watch out for these two:

Thank god I looked around on the web today for scams, we could not afford to be stuck with the shipping cost and getting no money ($700 total) for our furniture.
