Craigslist classified for used car: Cheque fraud scam

I'm getting bombarded with scam messages!

I received a text message from 205-3906695:

"Gorgeous certified engagement ring - $2,500 (Torrance)... What is the condition of your item and your final price?"

Me - "It's like new. This is my final price."

"Ok, I will be giving you $2,800 for the item. And I will also be giving you an additional $200 for you to get the item ship to West Africa, ok?"

Me - "Sorry, it's in person only. Thanks!"

This one left an American address and a phone number. What can be done with this info?

"Sounds good, I would have love to come over with cash, but because of your distance from Tx and also am very busy with my Job and also my church ministry, I understand that there are many scam online and i want you to know that I'm paypal verified member and I will send out the payment first before we proceed with the shipment you can easily get an account with Paypal its reliable and easy to use, I find it the easiest way to use my credit card safely and is a safe and reliable method of payment, let me know when you done with the registration, for me to make the payment immediately. Please I also need to see more pics (214)216-2364"

"Beautiful pics, I want the ring shipped over night to me because I have a trip to Bahamas with my family, here is what you need to Dallas,2444 province lane Dallas, TX 75228 to get the cost of the shipping and also include amount when sending the invoice or paypal money request to my paypal ID: georgia.gause@yahoo.com God bless"

Beware! Be smart, NEVER provide info without knowing your buyer!! Heres my string of emails, start from bottom:

I need to voice verify and i am dealing with cash only, locally. No out of State, no checks, paypal, bank transfers etc
CASH ONLY at MY local police station. When you can do that let me know.

Funny thing - when I emailed him back asking him what he was going to pay for the item and that I would not ship the item until the payment had completely cleared my account - he never wrote back. I guess he lost interest when he realized he wouldn't be getting his money back and my diamond ring to go with it.
I'm glad you guys had written on here about this jerk. I hope other people will look at this before they get sucked in to this guys scamming and con games. THANKS AGAIN TO ALL OF YOU!! You just saved me a HUGE headache!

same basic message wants me to respond to same aol account.

I posted an ad on CL for a diamond engagement ring/wedding band set. I received a response from "Mrs. Gause in Texas" wanting to buy my rings. I immediately googled her phone number and found this site with all of these scammer postings. As such, I had fun with my response. I'm now waiting to hear back to see if these idiots even pay attention. The first email is from the scammer.
