I got this email from a scammer, in response to a classified ad for a car. You can see that his questions are more sophisticated than the others:However, the signs of scamming is there, such as "the item", and signing "Donald" while his name in the email is "greg mcdonald".

He then replies:

He still says "the item", and offers 18 X my asking price! what a deal!He asks for more, then will ask for the difference to be wired back to him, and that is the  scam.

Sandrella Aydin scam

They tried to scam me as well.
A good thing to do with all these thieves is move first their message to the spam folder, and after that delete it.

Just advertised my car...recieved a TEXT no number shown just a name (which is different from the email address name). I have no idea how they managed to text my phone without a phone number showing.

Text message asked me to reply via the email in my subject heading. Seems like these scammers are still going two years on with the same email!!

I googled the email and this thread came up.

Just thought id post they are managing to text now as well.

Becky strikes again!

Mon, 2012/06/25 - 05:06

I have just received these 2 emails from a potential car buyer named Becky:
Hello,

Thanks for your reply .. i'm interested in the purchase but how long have you owned it and when last was it checked for faults and is there any visible scratch or defect on the body? and how much do you want for it ?

Regards,
Becky Gilchrist.

Then I answered and she email me the following:

Hello,

Ok,good..I'm satisfied with the price and condition and I am buying this internationally to Sweden and i would arrange for the transportation to my home in Stockholm but i would be paying through PayPal as it is the fastest & easiest way to pay... and do not worry about paypal charges, i will take care of that directly from my account Okay? . So if you accept the proposal, you should send me your info requested below if you have an account already:-

Name :
PayPal Email :
Mobile Number:
Total amount :

or you can send me a PayPal money request, so that i can proceed with the transfer and then we can arrange for my transport agent to come for the pick up after you received your money. I will need your home address too for the pick up to be arranged. Thanks alot.

Regards,

Becky Gilchrist.

This is a scam for sure.
