I had same issue - with a
Fri, 2012/09/28 - 11:04I had same issue - with a car. I received cashiers check, via Fedex. Looked legit, but I felt uneasy about it. I called the bank it was drawn on (a credit union in Illinois), I was in Atlanta; they advised that the check was bogus and sent someone from the FBI to pick it up along with the envelope it came in. Don't try to cash the check until you check with the bank - if you do, you are responsible for the full amount of the check and all the fines and fees that go along with it being bounced.

Scammer hits Craigs at least twice within a week
Sat, 2012/06/09 - 17:45Just received an email from Nicolas Ortega wanting to know if my item was still for sale. He gave his full name at the bottom of the email. So I googled his name and here we are possibly again with a scam. I flagged it as a scam after I read the posting. Thanks for this valuable info!
