Winning the lottery scam email: World Cup South African lottery

Hey,
I have received the email which is similar to the one above, I am not sure if it is the fake information. Having contact with them,the sender called himself
NAME: MR. DAVID ZUMA
TEL No: +27-839-406-792
EMAIL: davidzuma78@yahoo.ca said he has been processing the fund and send me a bank form to fill out, and charging $2500 processing fee. I got a wining certificate from Owen, the serial number is 144-66584
I would like to confirm with the authentic agnet of world cup 2010 promotion lottery office on this matter.

I just got similar e-mail today (copied below) and since I am a very meticulous person, I googled it and found this page and many others specifying this is a SCAM!!!
My own reasons to doubt these kind of scams?
1. The return e-mail is a yahoo account. If they are giving away millions of dollars they would have their own website and account!
2. They ask for personal information and the people who replied were asked to send a transaction fee!?? That is a very HUGE SIGN.
3. And if like they say, only three winners selected then how come so MANY people got the same e-mail?? (thanks to the internet for this) and you can tell that this e-mail can be forwarded to millions of people. Notice how my or your name was never mention in the letter!
