Craigslist classified for used car: Cheque fraud scam

I just receive and email regarding the same problem. I had no idea what he was talking about, so when i googled "versa business check paper", you came up. I just sent him a spicy email telling him my lawyer will get involved.

i posted a vehicle on craigslist for sale. i recieved an email for a gentlemen claiming he was in Nigeria on business. here is the convo.

i would have love to pay you by cash but i am out of states now as i said in my last mail.
then, i would have also use paypal but i am having technical problem with my account now which will be resolved when i return back to states.
then, i do not have access to money order and mail cashier check here in Nigeria.

I have been screwed by paypal once, so my lawyer advised me to only make payment online via electronic check.
The electronic check is new technology and is very legit and fast, this is a Verified and Certified electronic Bank check for online transaction. If you are still willing to sell this item for me, proceed to purchase the Versal business check paper, for you to receive the payment ASAP.

Hope you all help spread the word about these scammers so hopefully they can spend their lives behind bars, although I personally prefer a firing squad! We'd have a lot less scammers, that's for sure!

I got all the same emails and then I sent him info on the item for sale being in Nigeria and I would have to have my partner collect the money plus a fee and all this other garbage and then would ship it to him within 6 months. Beware Cincinnati. Anyone wanting to buy a car without seeing it is full of crap. DONT BE FOOLED. I got the same email as everyone above about my car on craigslist.
