Said his assistant "accidentally" sent more then asked.
Sun, 2011/01/02 - 10:46This guy, as the name of, James Bielema, said that he was going on a vaction to London, and that he would have his assistant send us a check for the price of the product being sold, via craigslist, and then also added $20 to the price "because of the delay." Oh and then he was going to arrange pickup for after he came back from London. This is a load of crap. Dont fall for it. We did at first, but after a little research, we found out it was a scam.
BE CAREFUL ON CRAIGSLIST!

Craig's List Scam...
Sun, 2011/01/02 - 15:35I'm so glad I'm naturally curious and researched the email I got from a potential buyer...
"Good day and hope you are doing great?.My assistant told me that you still have the item for sale. I am willing to pay your asking price,You will receive your payment in 4-6 working days,i would have loved to come and see it in person but due to the busy nature of my job that wont permit me,i will be making payment by money order or check and i will be needing your phone number, full name, address or p.o box address to make the payment to as i do not want to lose this sales to other potential buyers,if you will keep it in my favor,i dont mind adding thirty ($30) dollar for the delay.pick-up wont be a problem as i already have made an arrangement for that once you receive payment.
Awaiting your reply
Happy New Year"
It came from simoneguy01@divinestores.org... and like someone else posted, the first contact was in the 5 a.m. hour.

How are you doing? Thanks for your response to my ad and i really appreciate. Am sorry for the late response, i was busy with some business associate. Anyway Am Albert Henry, my self and my family are relocating to the States from United kingdom. I will be coming there to work on a contract basis with United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) on a private research work. I will be offering you $300 weekly. Your service will be needed for three hours daily at any suitable time of yours , Mondays through Fridays.
I hope you will be able to handle this position very well. Depending on you proving yourself as an honest, reliable and a good person. We have a financier that is based in the states and he will be handling the payment and some other expenses, so he will be the one that will be taking care of the service payment. I will instruct him to pay for the two weeks before my arrival so as to secure your service, actually i should have paid more but i will give a pay rise if am satisfied with your service after the first two weeks.
My financier will be making out a Paycheck to you before my arrival, you will be receiving a check of $3,600 out which you will deducting your pay for the first two weeks and you will be using the remaining to buy foodstuffs and other things needed in the house. You will get the foodstuff on the day of our arrival which is January 21th 2010. Actually all flights from the United Kingdom arrives at nights so you will be getting the foodstuff in the morning and making all other preparations. I will also instruct my estate agent to come and pick you show you the apartment and handover the keys to you so that you can do all other necessary preparations before we arrive. Besides, I will also email you the shopping list. You have to get all this shopping before our arrival so that we wont start running around when we arrive, So my financier would be needing the following Information below to make out the payment

Sun, 2011/01/09 - 12:19Thank you all for posting this as I was hesitant when I received a similar email on my item listed on Craigslist. Here is what I received:
jamescole232@aol.com to me
show details 9:30 PM (14 hours ago)
Thank you for your response, I am very much okay with the present status and price of the item But my payment will be in form of Certified Check via UPS next day delivery
I'll take up the responsibilities for pick-up of the item and some other items that the pick up company would pick up for me along with the one im buying from you,so the charges will be included in The payment that would be sent to you in order to avoid any form of delay and to enable The pick up company schedule an appropriate time to come and get the item from your location after the check must have been cashed as i have other properties which would be moved for me along with the one im buying from you. As much as i would have loved to take time out to check on what im paying for but would not have a privilege to do such due to my time frame at work ,so in that case i would duly request that you send me more pictures for a closer look.
Please do get back to me with your full name and
