Here is another classifed ads (craiglist) scam that I got in response to listing a computer for sale for a few hundred dollars.

From: richard adelson <richardsonandco@yahoo.ca> hi seller,   i am interested in the item you placed online for my son schooling in Nigeria- West Africa.  pls let me know how much the goods will cost and the term of payment. thanks.

My reply was as follows:

$237,579, including shipping by FedEx to Nigeria.Payment by cash.

Let us see what he comes up with.

How can anyone get away with such stupidity. I'm selling my necklace for cash locally on craigslist.If he writes you tell him to send you a certified check for the amount shipping plus 50.00 for the trouble after the check clears tell him you'll send the item. Ask for his name address & phone and see if he writes back.

I got an email from Erik and slapped him down after I searched the web for his name. Then this new name sends me something but stragely sounds a lot like the other emails. Especially the present for whoever. I think this is the same guy but you all be the judge.....take care, Wm

People have been saying Erik Ramon is a scam ,its a lie because i do sold my item to him last weekend and i get npaid by him ,so how come he scam you ......let me know ....but it is advisable that you should do business with Erik Ramon .....and i am sure you will enjoy doing businesss with him

This is misinformation spread by the scammer himself.

Look at how RECHARD is spelled? And even posting from a Lagos Nigeria IP address (41.219.220.5) too.

Do not fall for this guy. Erik Ramon and James RECHARD are all Nigerian Scammers.

I am sooooo glad that I read this post. I was totally in the midst of getting scammed for a very expensive diamond ring. erik-ramon15@hotmail.com. Beware!!! He didnt even see the item before offering to buy it from me and I am glad I searched his name before sending my name, address, and phone number. Thank goodness! Now I know to stay away. I did send an email back saying that I only prefer cash so I bet I wont hear from him again!
