Here is a classic scam from Craigslist.They offer to buy your item you advertised via classified for more money than you ask for ($375 in my case, he offered $500).They even give you a bleeding heart story about wife dying in accident.

Sun, 2009/03/22 - 13:07We had the same response for an ad we had posted on craigslist. Luckily we did some investigation over the internet, because it just seemed a little fishy and figured out this is a scam, although not before we sent our name, address and phone number.

Sun, 2009/03/22 - 19:23Fake ads for jobs processing ads from home. They appear to read as technical support positions and you send the money to them for training materials and the training materials they send you are to scam more people with ads about fake jobs that dont exist.
I dont think its much more dishonest than this I can believe I was so stupid. This was the last time.

Craigs list rental scam
Wed, 2009/04/15 - 15:29I also replied and ALMOST sent via MoneyGram for this same exact add, however the house was listed in Waterford, MI - and the people "claiming" to be the owners were: Mr. Dennis and wife Mrs Judith Kensella.
But the body is exactly the same.
Wow, I knew this was too good to be true, however, they had pictures of the inside of the house and everything, sent me multiple emails. I called the Waterford County Assesment office to verify if they were the owners, and NOPE, their name is no where on the deed or records.
What a shame that people do that.
