"Hi ,
Your payment has been sent but there is something i think i must bring to your notice immediately. I just discovered there is an error in the payment sent to you. My assistant sent the payment meant for another item thats more expensive than yours. I have called the post office to see if they could retrieve it but nothing positive. I really dont know what to do now. Please and Please, you can go ahead and cash out the Money Order at your Bank when you receive it, deduct your payment and send the balance via western union to the details i will provide you with. Can i trust you to do that for me?
Marvin"

Hi there. I had the same guy
Fri, 2010/10/01 - 10:28Hi there. I had the same guy contact. Not sure why I didn't go with my gut feeling except that I wasn't having many other offers on my item... I gave him my home address to mail the money order to because I'm clearly an idiot. It looks like you got the part of their scam where you already sent them an address. Did they use your information for anything or harass you in any way? I'm already in the middle of a personal injury suit and really don't need any more drama...

Wed, 2010/10/20 - 13:50Thank you guys so much for posting this stuff! I'm trying to sell some of my daughter's used clothes on craigslist and was contacted by marvinclin2000@divinestores.org... I too am clearly an idiot and e-mailed him my name, address and phone number... but right after e-mailing him, I started to feel weird about it, so I put his name into a google search and this popped up! So glad I saw this before anything else happened!

Hi Ruth, I am coming back from a long days work right now. Wondering where u r located, and weather or not a cash transaction would be possible? I do not have a paypal account. Will have to look into it tomorrow as I will be getting back late tonight. It is in great condition though. Also wondering why u r willing to pay more, is it due to the fatc of shipping and paypal?
I would have loved to come and pay cash so i can see the condition of the camera but i am presently working ofshore that is why i am paying via paypal cos it is safe and secured and very easy to set up all you have to do is log on to www.paypal.com and create the account when you are done you send me a paypal money request to me from your paypal account. And i added the extra money to cover for shipping and the paypal charges.

Flag Craigslist Scammers
Thu, 2010/09/30 - 08:39I use CRAIGSPAL
Been finding and FLAGGING many scammers.
It's us versus them (scamers), If everyone flags his own "niche" of search that daily browse , craigslist will be CLEAN!!! of spammers and scammers. Craigslist removes post flagged from multiple IP addresses, if we have everyone search narrow to his own niche and flag spam posts, we get clean result.
I recommend this application to all my friends, and we keep our craigslist niche clean!
just 2 cents.....
