Another craigslist
Tue, 2010/12/21 - 09:01Hi,
Thanks for your response. I'm going on a vacation to London but I will instruct my assistant to prepare and mail your payment which I'm sure you will get in about 4 - 6 business days. I'll add $20 extra for the delay. I'll pay by M O or cashier check so send me your info (i.e full name, mailing address and your phone number) so payment can be mailed out immediately. I will also make arrangement for pick-up which will be after you must have received and cashed the payment.
Awaiting your info.
Thanks

I was told by my assistant that your item is still for sale,i would have loved to come and see it,but my schedule is very tight.I will mail out your payment once you provide your full name.phone number and address.I can only pay via money order as am on a business trip now,pls let me know where to send your payment to because i wouldn't want to lose it to someone else.I don't mind adding thirty ($30) dollars so you can keep it in my favor, you should get your payment in 4-6 working days i will appreciate if you can get the ad off craigslist so i can be sure you are keeping it in my favor. Please let me know as soon as you receive it so i can start making arrangement for the pick-up.
Thanks

Tue, 2010/12/21 - 14:20Here's the one I got from "Simone Guy"...
Good day and hope you are doing great?.My assistant told me that you still have the item for sale. I am willing to pay your asking price,You will receive your payment in 4-6 working days,i would have loved to come and see it in person but due to the busy nature of my job that wont permit me,i will be making payment by money order or check and i will be needing your phone number, full name, address or p.o box address to make the payment to as i do not want to lose this sales to other potential buyers,if you will keep it in my favor,i dont mind adding fifty ($50) dollar for the delay.pick-up wont be a problem as i already have made an arrangement for that once you receive payment.
Awaiting your reply
Thanks.

Craislist Scam
Mon, 2011/04/25 - 16:12I had the same situation- basically the same email but the name is Willson Bishop willsonbishop@googlemail.com (new name and address). I figured it out and emailed him back to tell him to get lost. A day later I recieved an email from Mark Warner (markwarner@cluemail.com) it read as follows:
"A scammer says he wants to buy something from you. He uses the fake
name of Willson Bishop.
He'll send you a check or money order for too much money, and tell you
to send the extra money by Western Union. The check is counterfeit.
He wants to fool you into sending money before his fake check bounces.
If you send money, you'll lose it all.
Don't be a victim of this fraud artist like I almost was.
Mark Warner
P.S. PLEASE DON'T TELL THE SCAMMER ABOUT THIS WARNING. I learned about
you because he accidentally sent me an email with your address on it,
and I don't want to tip him off about his mistake. That same mistake
might help other innocent people avoid getting scammed, too.
If you have a second, please reply to let me know you got this."
I googled this as well and it seems as though it might be from the original scammer. I am not sure what they were hoping to get from me through the Mark Warner email- deleted it right away. Anyone else have a similar experience?
