One more way to ID a scammer
Thu, 2013/08/15 - 12:27Here is one more way to ID a scammer. They OFTEN give you a story WHY they are buying the item. Most normal buyers don't justify why they are buying the item. And it's always a long-winded, detailed story. As long as you pay I don't give a crap why you are buying it. When I buy an item I don't want to justify why I'm buying it. I don't have to. I'm paying you. You're not paying me. I believe these people actually make it obvious that they are scammers to see how much they can get away with.

Scammer got confused
Tue, 2013/09/17 - 11:06I received this email this morning as a response to an END TABLE I am selling:
"Hello, My name is Jessica Rodewolt Kinly reply me if you still have the room for rent, on tlucas925@gmail.com or text my father on (407) 536-7099... Thanks"
I Googled the email address, and your site came up in the search. It seems he has tried to scam other people too. Thank you for having this site available!

Craigslist scammers
Tue, 2013/11/26 - 18:48I successfully post many items for sale on Craigslist, and can usually identify legitimate potential buyers. I get A LOT of very similar emails to what everyone is posting so frequently that I don't even read them anymore. I can usually tell by the subject line or at least the first sentence that the author is a scammer. Just a word of advice. If possible, do not even open these emails. Not only could they contain viruses, but may even infect your computer with malware, which is much more dangerous to your computer and to your personal information. I now put in my Craigslist post "I won't respond to inquiries as to whether the item is still available as I will delete the posting when it is sold". I would never try to cash a check that any of these people send you, if you've allowed them to get that far. I don't know what their ultimate goal is, but they try very hard to obtain your email address, even when you tell them to respond by text to a cell phone number. Happy Craigslisting!

James Keen, Craigslist scam
Sat, 2014/01/11 - 21:19So my husband and I listed an item for sale through Craigslist and a man named James Keen called and wanted it asking to have the item removed immediately from the site. He asked for a name and address to send the check to, all this done thru texts, no calls. The check arrived by Federal Express with no return address and nothing but the check. The check was for 1575.00 and the item we were selling was 750.00. He said the extra was for shipping. He then asked us to MoneyGram or Western Union the extra to a Heather Marie Swanson in Thousand Oaks, CA claiming she was his shipper. Luckily red flags went up and now we are going to be reporting him to the authorities. The check even came from Hawaii and was verified with problems on the account, basically red flagged.

Scammers
Mon, 2014/05/12 - 13:16Craigslist has more scammers on then ever. If they continuously send a text message telling why they can't communicate over the phone, note that as a red flag. They might claim there in military or they are at work and can't talk on the phone, red flag. Search their phone number and email on google. And if they've used that email for attempting a scam before, hopefully somebody put out a posting on that person and you will find out immediately. Also if there number area code is not local you must red flag them. Also wire transfers such as western union should not be attempted. If you do a little google research on these "sellers" or "buyers" and put some common sense into the situation it will not be hard to figure out if there attempting to scam you. These people are probably foreigners due to there lack of proper punctuation. I can say that if you were to get scammed you must be very naive. Google research is very, very, simple and worth the time. And it feels good to know you just caught a jerk trying to steal you money

I am interested in hearing
Mon, 2014/05/26 - 23:37I am interested in hearing from anyone who has been a victim of Sam Mark aka Amer Busevac. I have quite a file on the little turd and now know just where to find him but need to build a case against him. I became involved with the varmint a couple years ago when my wife received a check from him for a lot more than she had listed on Craig's list. She never fell for it. I began tracking him at the time and check back every few months to see if anything new turns up. Well this time something turned up and we can get him. He is from Bosnia Herzegovina. He lived in Clinton township Mi. and in St. Louis Mo. He has relatives in both places. That much you can easily verify on the net. If you want to get him send contact info to sam.mark.scam@gmail.com. You might want to create a special blind email account (just like I did with sam.mark.scam@gmail.com) if you are afraid to give away your identity till you get to know me. If we can get several people who have been defrauded by this snake we can get him.
