Another scam via Craigslist: offering more than asking price

I also got the same message from a "Mr Henry Thomas". Who calls himself by a title like "Mr"? Thankfully, this website has confirmed that he's a fraud.

I've not gotten an email back as of yet but I did decide to check the email source to see if i could find the email on the web as a scammers emails. nothing popped up under createlabels@gmail but hidden away in the coding was

I am so glad I looked this up before I responded to a craigs list inquiry. Below is what was sent to me and the instant I read it a red flag went up:

I'll be responsible for the pick-up and the movers/pick up money will be included in your payment to avoid delay and to enable movers to schedule an appropriate time for the pick-up at your location after check has been cashed,as i have other properties to be moved alongside with yours.

I would have really love to come for the viewing but due to my work frame that might not be possible. kindly get back to me with your full name and address including your cell and land number so i can make out payment.

First he sent me an email from a 'Brian Jones' asking if my google tablet was still for sale. I replied it was still available and a different e-mail from a 'Nicolas Ortega' responded with a long-winded response.

I got the same scam from Grey Ruben. Willing to pay $50 more than asking price. Stated wife just had emergency surgery and the wrong check was sent to my house. Check was for $1990 and he wanted me to cash it, then wire the balance to his (So-called) doctor 3000 miles away. Then he just called me and when I told him that it was a scam and I am too smart for that, he said "F _ _ _ You". I stated the same back and hung up.

I have appliance and furniture on craigslist for sale and I received the 1st email below and than when I replied "I am the original seller" than the 2nd one came in. If you look at the way they write some of their wording, you can tell they are not from America. Most people with accents will write the same way they speak. These are some of the signs to beware of. Others are when they give you a long sob story, anyone that is doing business with you will not detail personal things about themselves I know I don't. Also beware of checks or money orders no one is not going to buy something they haven't even seen before I don't care how desperate one is or how nice the item is, again I know I won't do it. Anything that you wouldn't do or ask for when conductiong business will be a tell sign that it's a scam. Buyer and Seller beware! They are out here and ready to take your money and run.
